I teach 11th and 12th grade English at Milton Area Senior High School. I have most college prep students, with one section of AP English Literature and Composition (12th grade), one section of AP English Language and Composition (11th grade), and 3 sections of Academic English (12th grade). A few facts about myself include:
I previously had another career. I worked for 20 years as a nurse, spending about half that time on an oncology in-patient unit, and the last half in a same-day surgery unit.
I earned my undergraduate in English/literature from Lycoming College as a non-traditional student while working almost full time as a nurse.
I also work as an adjunct faculty member at Pennsylvania College of Technology teaching English composition and developmental English.
I would like to gain an understanding of more facets of the types of technology that are appropriate to use in the classroom as well as those for personal use.
